Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter of Richard McCormick. She was born on August 5th, 1956 in Woodland Hills California. Her father taught school and her mom was a housewife. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three elder brothers. McCormick is always a fan of performing, dancing and putting on puppet shows. When McCormick was six years older, she was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she would like to enter the show business. McCormick was offered her first significant work in 1964, as she acted in a commercial on television for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She did another commercial in 1964 for the Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was cast as the main character in the play Wind It Up and It breaks, a production in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1,200 youngsters to be the youngest of three twin daughters in The Brady Bunch TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed and Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice which was published in 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season, she almost lost her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. He was 19. She was 16. The incident could have occurred, she said but the timing wasn't right for us.
